Twin 75 lap races was the event Saturday night at South Boston Speedway. Justin qualified 6th for the first race, and 1st for the second. Justin fought a tight car throughout the first event and battled his way to the 3rd position. Crew Chief Chris Edwards made the proper adjustments between races as Justin ran in the second position for the early part of the race but took the lead on lap twenty-nine and never looked back to secure his 5th win of the 2008 season and the fourth at South Boston Speedway. The win also marked Justin and Bailey's Cigarettes first win together.
Dissapointing 4th of July Week

On Wednedsday night July 2, Justin Johnson raced the Bailey's Cigarettes Pontiac in the Rusty Harpe Memorial 200 at Caraway Speedway. The team was fast in practice but when Justin went to start the car for qualifying the battery was dead forcing the team to push start the car from pit road. Justin qualified 16th out of the thirty-two cars in his first trip to the race track. By lap 63 Justin had worked his way up to the 9th position and was closing on the cars ahead. Bad luck was soon to follow when a wreck occured off of turn 4 and badly damaged the #44 car. On Thursday July 3, Justin felt confident he could win the Bailey's 200 at South Boston Speedway. The team struggled in qualifying and Justin was forced to start 13th in the twenty-eight car field. By lap seven Justin had moved up to 8th and it was beginning to look like he was going to be a contender for the win. On the 9th lap Justin struck the back of the #91 car of David Quackenbush entering turn three which caused the #91 to spin and broke the right front spindle on the #44 Impala SS. Justin went approximately fifty laps down and was able to salvage an 18th place finish pushing him to second in the championship standings. Justin said after the race "this is extremely dissapointing and a set back for us in the championship standings. The wreck was completely my fault, I drove in hard and the cars in front of me bottled up and I had no where to go. I want to apologize to the cars involved and my team for my mistake."
