May 1, 2010 - Justin Johnson/FDJ Dominate at Motor Mile
Radford, VA -- Justin Johnson made the trip to Motor Mile Speedway Saturday in search of valuable NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national points.
Johnson qualified fourth for the first of Motor Mile's twin 100 laps races. Quickly, Johnson was shuffled back to 9th. As the race progressed, Johnson worked toward the front, arriving with just a handful of laps to battle for the lead. A heated battle with Philip Morris and FDJ teammate Wayne Ramsey ensued, with Ramsey and Morris finishing ahead of Johnson.
After a redraw, Johnson would start third, behind Morris and Ramsey. Johnson and Tommy Lemons Jr. battled for 50 laps before pulling away for the final 10 laps. Two green-white-checkereds later, and Johnson had his first win at Motor Mile in 2010.
May 8th, Justin returns to South Boston Speedway for a twin-75 lap event. May 15, it's 150 laps for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model Stocks at South Boston before a week off, then back to South Boston for the third time in May.
